Unlimited Whispers

According to The Daily, Paula Deen is set to reveal that she has diabetes.  Yes is is rumored that the queen of southern cooking has type 2 diabetes.  Type 2 is brought on by obesity and unhealthy eating.  Whispers have emerged that Paula has signed a lucrative deal with pharmaceutical company Novartis.  Paula and her agent refuse to answer any questions about the claim.

Paula has been under public scrutiny about the fat content of her recipes.  Specifically Barbara Walters and Anthony Bourdain. While Barbara questioned her in a respectful manner, Bourdain took the disrespectful route.  He made a public statement saying, “the worst, most dangerous person to America.  She should think twice before telling an already obese nation that it’s OK to eat food that is killing us.”

Critics are saying that she can’t eat her own recipes anymore, but little do they know there is a queen of soul food by the name of Patti Labelle that makes it happen with her diabetes.  She has appeared on Paula’s show in the past and has her own cookbook.  I added a video of her appearance on Oprah where she talks about her fight against diabetes. With that said, Paula can do the same thing. She’ll just have to cut out the butter and fat.  Bobby Deen, Paula’s has a show called, “Not My Mama’s Meals.”The show will offer healthier versions of his mother’s recipes.  The show debuted this month on the Cooking Channel.

Paula has always been a joy to watch and I wish her well.
