Former pro wrestler Andre Davis, who knowing gave 11 women the HIV virus was sentenced to 32 years in prison. He was already convicted of the same crime in November. That case included 14 victims.
Ohio law requires anyone who tests positive for HIV to inform there potential partners. Why a person needs a law to do something like that escapes me. It should be something as simple as common sense, courtesy and integrity.
Andre Davis, who went by “Andre Heart,” as a pro wrestler, obviously knows nothing about any of those things. He reportedly showed no signs of remorse. Frankly it appears that he was mad at the world and wanted to give it to as many people as her could.
With that said, the charming one will face the same type of charges is 2 other counties. Yup, that is a total of four counties. Only he and God knows how many other victims in other counties and states will surface.
When given the opportunity to speak he blamed his horrible decisions on sex addiction. Sounding self absorbed, he feels that the trial was one sided. He goes on to say the following in open court:
“The reason I hold my head high is because God allows me to. I wanted to travel the world, but in the blink of an eye it was taken away. I went into a very deep depression. I tried to fix all the problems myself. So I slipped deep into depression and turned to addictions.”

“When I lost my job, the addiction got worse. I neglected my children. I didn’t realize that until I was sitting in jail. Sex addiction is probably the worst addiction you can have.”
“I didn’t tell anyone because I didn’t want it to get back to my family. Was I trying to hurt women? Absolutely not. I am a loving and compassionate man. I’m not a monster like the media tried to portray me as.”
Now Andre wants to become a motivational speaker to help squash the stigma that comes with HIV and AIDS. He says he attends the church in jail too. I wish he would have done that before he exposed all those women to the disease. Some of them parents.
One of the victims appeared in court and of course she was not identified. She said the following:
“My life will never be the same,” she said. The day I found out he was HIV positive was the scariest day of my life. She said it’s been nine months since she found out and time hasn’t made it any easier. Andre, I pray God has mercy on your soul,” said the victim.
The mother of his two children, Alex Uehlein was also in court and it was there she said, “He didn’t kill anybody. I just wish you can get him help. He needs it. He deserves it.”
Whatever, I he had remorse he would have plead guilty in the previous trials and the two in the future.
This whole thing is tragic all around.
