Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh opt out in Miami leaving the Heat with plenty of money to spend in free agency

With LeBron James having already announced his decision to opt out, the Heat has an NBA record $55 million in salary cap loot. The Heat will obviously try to re-sign all four free agents; Bosh and Wade are expected to take pay cuts to allow them to rebuild the roster.  Not to mention,  Heat just signed Bronny’s guy Shabazz Napier.

That said, these revelations are kicking my hopes and dreams in the ass.  I’m already completely exhausted and July 1st isn’t even here yet.  The next 11 days are expected to be grueling.   Can you imagine what will happen if they get Carmelo?  LeBron and Carmelo’s max caps are doable for several teams, so this whole thing is about to become complete chaos all over again

Go ahead and let that all marinate……..I’m sick to my effin’ stomach. Meanwhile her’s a deep analysis of the Cavaliers salary cap……marinate

It’s so not like me to give up so  early in anything, but hell, is it still on?

it's On 2014

First, According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cleveland Cavaliers have hired David Blatt at their new head coach.

Sports Whispers: Cleveland Cavaliers Hire New Coach + Houston Rockets Reportedly Want LeBron….*giggles*

According to Bleacher Report, The Houston Rockets are planning on pursuing LeBron.  I had to laugh at that.  He’s not going to no dang Houston.  He’s not going to the Lakers either….nobody of his caliper can work with Kobe’s ego.  I’m just saying…..  Nonetheless, who wont be trying to grab him?  Anyhow, here are the details about Coach David Blatt.

David Blatt, who just resigned as coach of Maccabi Tel Avivlast week, has reached an agreement to become the 20th head coach of the Cavaliers, replacing Mike Brown who was fired on May 12, an NBA source told The Plain Dealer on Friday.

This will be the first NBA job for the well-respected Blatt, an American who played for Pete Carril at Princeton and has played and coached in Europe the past 33 years. He also will become the first European head coach to be picked to run an NBA team.

The decision came down to Blatt and Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue, a long-time NBA player who has been an assistant to Doc Rivers for five years, four of them in Boston. Alvin Gentry, believed to be the third finalist, took a job as the associate head coach of the Golden State Warriors under Steve Kerr. Kerr was considering Blatt for a similar position. The Cavs reportedly also considered hiring either Lue or Gentry as associate/assistant coach.

You already know where I stand.  I want my guy to go home and make ish happen.  As for David, I can’t call it.  I don’t know the guy, but I do hope he is an attraction to Lebron.  If he can make this thing happen as a whole, I’m all for it.  That’s with or without my guy.  It’s on!!

The Cavaliers won the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft for the second straight year.  The Cavs now can choose among  Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid of Kansas, Duke’s Jabari Parker or another top ranking player.  So now there is a line of coaches that want to come to Cleveland because the ish just may get real.

No. 1 Cleveland Cavaliers
No. 2 Milwaukee Bucks
No. 3 Philadelphia 76ers
No. 4 Orlando Magic
No. 5 Utah Jazz

Unique Ish Personified!! Cavaliers Put on Huge 3D Show for Big Z’s Jersey Retirement (Video)

The video begins with the court  rippling, bending collapsing and twisting itself into a screen that features the Cavalier’s previously retired numbers.  Ilgauskas’ No. 11. Bingo Smith’s No. 7, Larry Nance’s No. 22, Mark Price’s No. 25, Austin Carr’s No. 34, Nate Thurmond’s No. 42, and Brad Daugherty’s No. 43,    The show even included a few highlights. The show ends with the court blowing up and crumbling.

BTW Cavaliers lost to the Heat at home 100 to 96.  A fan also tried to make his way on the court  probably to try and convince LeBron to come home.

You can check out more highlights and details from that day HERE.  LeBron was also there to support Big Z

Cavaliers Win Home Opener Against Nets, Bynum Impresses; Usher and Dan Gilbert ‘In the House’

usher dan gilbert Home Opener

Check out the recap reel:

I went to Tom Withers for the blow by blows.  He opens up saying Cleveland could Contend again and I second that notion.

I always love it when Varaejo is on the court.  He has so much passion……  Tristan Thompson was top scorer with 18, Kyrie and Varaejo brought the last shot in for the win, but essentially, all eyes were on Andrew Bynum.  Naysayers were posted for the worst, but they were left disappointed.

Cleveland could contend again.

Anderson Varejao‘s basket with 28 seconds left – off an assist from Kyrie Irving – sent the Cavs to a 98-94 win on Wednesday night over the remodeled Brooklyn Nets in coach Mike Brown‘s first game back with Cleveland.

But it was the return of Bynum, the massive 7-foot center, after a 17-month layoff that gave the Cavs a boost that could propel them for months.

Bynum, who didn’t play a single second for Philadelphia last season because of knee injuries, played in his first NBA game since May 21, 2012. Bynum only played eight minutes, but it was long enough for the Cavs to get a glimpse of the team they could be.

Sports Whispers: Kyrie Irving Leads Team USA to A Win {Highlight Reel}

Posted July 28, 2013 7:32 AM By Deirdre B Pride
Kyrie Irving Leads White Team USA to Victory 2013

Kyrie Irving had 23 points and seven assists to lead the White team to a 128-106 victory over the Blue on Thursday night in USA Basketball’s exhibition scrimmage.

Irving, an All-Star for the Cleveland Cavaliers who was a member of the 2012 USA Basketball Select Team that trained against the U.S. Olympic team, scored 16 in the first half to spark his squad’s come-from-behind win, after the Blue team took an early 10-point lead in the first quarter.

It was evident Irving and New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis both should get their passports ready to compete for 2014 World Cup of Basketball in Spain.

Davis, who played on the Americans’ gold medal-winning team in London, had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Blue.

“I’m not going to do individual assessments of each player. We’re watching everybody. I’m not going to be a school teacher and give one guy an A and another guy a B,” Krzyzewski said. “Both these two guys [Irving and Davis] are exceptional talents, and as talented as they both [are], they are so easy to coach and they’re really good guys. I thought they probably performed the best. … They’ll be a big help to us.”

With his team trailing by six with a little more than 8 minutes left in the first half, Irving used his quick first step and cat-like agility to maneuver into the lane, where he drew the foul. After making two free throws with 8:09 left in the half, and following Derrick Favors’ free throw that put the Blue team ahead by five, Irving sliced his way into the paint again, this time sinking his shot and converting the three-point play.
