Unlimited Whispers

I kid you not.  Actually, it’s ‘Schweddy Balls’ flavored.  LMAO!!!!  Leave it to zany Ben and Jerry’s to think of such a thing.  Some grocery stores wont put it in their freezers, because of the crude theme of it all.  I bet there are some stores crazy enough to take it on.  You really can’t be too mad at em’; they went the extra mile to even add rum.

If nothing else, it’s definitely good for laughs.  Maybe wedding showers or what not.  There are plenty of crazy fools that would enjoy a second or third bowl of the stuff.

In all actuality, the title was inspired by the innuendo-filled Schweddy Balls skit on SNL featuring Alec Baldwin as a baker named Pete Schweddy who appears on a radio program to discuss his bakery, Seasons Eatings. Cast mates Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer played monotone-talking NPR anchors who ask Baldwin to promote his famous dessert called ‘Schweddy balls’.   In the skit, Mr Baldwin said, ‘No one can resist my Schweddy balls’.

On the completely negative side of it, The One Million Moms group is not having it.  The Mississippi-based moms organization has been pressuring stores to keep Schweddy Balls out of their freezers and encouraging parents to ask the Vermont-based Ben & Jerry’s to stop production of the ice cream novelty.  They say, “the name is nothing but locker room humor that’s not appropriate for young children.  The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive,”  With rum flavor being pretty prevalent in it, I doubt if it is intended for children at all.  Not only that it’s a limited edition.
