Mojow

The Mojowijo is the very latest in sex toy technology.

It could transform the way that long-distance couples communicate forever.

Billed as the toy that has transformed cybersex, the Mojowijo vibrator can be connected wirelessly to a laptop and controlled remotely, meaning that those forced to say goodnight via Skype could now see their late night calls suddenly spiced up.

The Mojowijo is a sex toy of two parts – one, a traditionally shaped pink vibrator for the ladies, the other, a blue ring-shaped device.

Both attachments are fitted to a handle that can be attached to the accessory port on a Nintendo Wii remote control.

Using the firm’s patented Motion2Vibration technology, the device is able to transform the movements performed by each user into vibration signals and send them to another selected device – either in the same room or over the internet.

Couples simply download the appropriate software, dial into each other’s laptops using Skype, and the presence of both Mojowijos is picked up.

Using the motion of their own remotes, the users can then play with the settings on their partner’s vibrator, upping the frequency or taking it down as required. So the more one partner moves their wand, the more the other partner’s will vibrate.

One couple forced to spend six months apart due to work commitments say the Mojowijo has transformed their relationship. Amelia, 33, said: ‘My partner has been working in America for the past six months, and we’ve been communicating by Skype.

‘But there is only so long you can keep a spark going in a relationship without physical contact.

‘These gadgets have really injected new life into our calls. The brilliant thing is that it is not just purely a masturbatory experience.

‘We can control each other’s device by moving our own – and it’s that element that makes it so good.

‘We feel so connected, even though we are on the other side of the world.’

The company is not the first to dip a toe into the world of so-called ‘teledildonics’, but is probably the most successful to date.

Of their invention, the company says: ‘The motions of one device are transformed into vibrations in the other, literally allowing you to share the mojo with anyone, anywhere in the world.’

‘Couples in close relationships but separated by distance for long durations have been the most vocal and are looking to Mojowijo to bring intimacy back into their relationships or just keep them going even stronger when distances keep them apart.’

About-Miller-Outdoor

The film academy is opening an outdoor theater in Hollywood and inviting tourists and locals to enjoy movies there this summer.

Academy president Tom Sherak unveiled the screening space Monday and announced the “Oscars Outdoors” film series to begin June 15 with “Casablanca.” Films will screen every Friday and Saturday night through Aug. 18. (photo is of Miller outdoor theater; not the actual theater)

The outdoor theater is part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ sprawling Hollywood campus, which includes its film archive and Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study, and reflects the organization’s commitment to Hollywood, Sherak said. The academy recently announced that the Academy Awards would continue to broadcast from the Hollywood & Highland Center for the next two decades.

The “Oscar Outdoors” theater features surround sound and a 40-foot screen. Guests are invited to bring blankets and beach chairs to enjoy the outdoor experience. Food trucks will provide a sort of “revolving concession stand,” programming director Randy Haberkamp said.

He and Sherak both said they hope the outdoor theater recalls the drive-in theaters of a bygone era.

“I wish we could have built a drive-in theater,” Sherak said. “This is the closest we could get.”

“Oscar Outdoors” admission is $5; $3 for students and free for kids under 10.

Smartphone Galaxy S3

Samsung tonight unveiled its latest flagship device, the Galaxy S3, the follow-up to last year’s best-selling phone in the world.

The smartphone market moves on once more, with the hi-tech voice-controlled Galaxy S3 likely to becomes a standard-bearer for Google’s Android operating system – and a device for the Apple refuseniks.

The phone’s most innovative feature is built-in face-tracking and voice control – allowing, Samsung claims, for a more ‘natural’ control system.

Other innovations include what Samsung claims is a ‘more intelligent’ lock system, that keeps the screen ‘awake’ when the phone’s camera senses eyes watching it, rather than turning it off.

The voice control system is called S Voice – and allows access to weather forecasts, web searches and scheduling, similar to iPhone’s Siri system.

Saying ‘I want to take a picture’ launches the camera application – and will work in eight languages at launch.

S Voice can also reply out loud – which Samsung claims will allow the system to be used while driving.

Available in blue and white, the phone will be launched at the end of May, starting in Europe, with other regions following.

Samsung played on its expertise in screens with a large 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen running a resolution of 1280 x 720p – far bigger than Apple’s iPhone, and close in size to the smaller end of the tablet market.

Samsung pointed out that while the screen is 22 per cent larger than the previous S2, the ‘bezel’ around it has been slimmed down, so that the gadget is barely bigger than its predecessor.

The gadget will launch on May 29 in Europe, and in 10 other cities worldwide including Tokyo and Dubai.

The gadget also has some features clearly aimed at the business market once dominated by BlackBerry.

On-device encryption will allow secure emails working within business networks – catering for the new trend for businesses allowing employees to ‘bring their own’ smartphones rather than using company phones.

The NFC chip will also be used for tap-to-pay mobile payments, in partnership with Visa, with a ‘virtual wallet’ on the device making payment simple.

The phone is also armed with a battery claimed to last longer than other devices – despite a form factor which is 8.6mm thin and 130g in weight.

The phone has an eight megapixel camera – on a par with both iPhone 4S and the previous Galaxy S2.

The device was presented by Samsung president JK Shin, who said: ‘There were a lot of rumours and speculation – some were right, and some were wrong.

‘The Galaxy S3 is the best-in-class smartphone in the world.’

The phone was shown off by The Gadget Show’s Suzi Perry at a high-profile event at London’s Earls Court exhibition centre – a large, clearly expensive stage show that had a distinct resemblance to Apple’s well-choreographed showings for new iPhones and iPads.

‘This is the biggest launch event of the year,’ said Perry.

Samsung is also to launch a range of pop-up shops which will show off the handset around Europe – announcing this in a way reminiscent of Steve Job’s traditional, ‘One last thing,’ at their product launches.

A new feature called ‘Pop up Play’ enables multitasking – so that you can, for instance, put a video in a window on screen, then use other apps with the rest of the screen.

This sort of feature was previously the province of Windows or Mac machines, rather than phones.

Competition: The iPhone 4S and HTC One series are also premium models with high brand loyalty

The camera can also burst-shoot at speeds of up to 20 frames per second – faster than many pro-grade cameras.

The camera also automatically zooms in on faces by double-tapping the screen and a ‘best-shot’ mode auto-selects the best out of the burst.

Some of the apps pre-installed on the S3

The phone’s front camera can also shoot in HD – still rare in smartphones – and take still images at the same time.

Sharing photos with friends is also speeded up by face-recognition technology – which offers to ‘share’ photos with any friends detected in a photo using hi-tech face recognition, sharing either by text message or email, with a bubble popping up over each person’s face with the option to send the photo to them.

The S2 is expected to cost around £35-£40 per month. Carphone Warehouse said their tariffs would start for £36 on a 24-month contract.

The S3 also contains voice controls – which brings it up to speed with the iPhone’s Siri – but users may be wondering if it will be another damp squib.

Despite the fun of Apple’s Siri, most users prefer traditional controls over speaking to their phone, and the feature which launched the iPhone 4s is not used my many users.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be heavily promoted with a worldwide advertising campaign starting this week.

Samsung is now the biggest phone manufacturer in the world, and for this launch they took a page out of Apple’s marketing guide and kept everything hush-hush.

Even Samsung’s invite to journalists and enthusiasts for the launch in Earl’s Court, London, played it quiet – simply inviting people to ‘come and meet the next Galaxy’.

bra with pocket JoeyBra

A bra with a iPhone-sized pocket in the side strap is set to go on sale thanks to an ingenious design by two students at Seattle’s Washington University.

The JoeyBra also has space for bank cards, ID cards and a key, doing away with the need for a purse at all.

Mariah Gentry and Kyle Bartlow named their design after a Joey, which is a baby kangaroo that is raised inside its mother’s pouch.

Convenience: A new bra, named the JoeyBra, is able to store an iPhone as well as identification and bank cards. Created by two university students, it offers an alternative solution to a purseConvenience: A new bra, named the JoeyBra, is able to store an iPhone as well as identification and bank cards. The two students, who both attend the university’s Foster Business School, have claimed through their website that the animal print design is ‘the first sexy and comfortable pocketed bra’ to be sold on the market.

The bra, which comes in small, medium or large sizes, can be converted into a razorback or strapless style if desired. It is currently available for $19.99 as a pre-sale through the site.

The garment, which was originally presented as an entry into the university’s business plan competition that has awarded more than $1million to students over the past 14 years, will be available to buy from June onwards.

Miss Gentry and Mr Bartlow came up with the idea after surveying 200 female university students.

Funky: The bra, which will be available from June for $19.99, is said to be the world's first 'sexy' and 'comfortable' all-in-one design Funky: The bra, which will be available from June for $19.99, is said to be the world’s first ‘sexy’ and ‘comfortable’ all-in-one design and comes in three sizes; small, medium and large

The survey found that 95per cent of the woman experienced difficulty in storing their phone while going out and 75per cent had even lost their phone while going out.

Meanwhile, 88per cent were found to be interested in an all-in-one design such as the JoeyBra.

While skeptics have suggested that the weight of an iPhone may prove uncomfortable to many women, particularly those with smaller cup sizes, Miss Gentry, who is a size 32A, argued to Forbes that she is able to comfortably store the phone in one of the design’s pockets.

She also said that the target demographic of the JoeyBra covers those who like to wear sleeveless and low-cut clothing, allowing easy-access to the pockets.

She said that arms do not rub against that particular area of the ribcage.

Miss Gentry added that the upper arms, in fact, create a natural pocket in that area. The design has been made in an attempt to ensure that the area remains untouched, even after a night of extreme revelry.

The founders will begin marketing their design soon by presenting it to 19 sororities within the University of Washington.

They even have further ideas on variations of the design including a sports bra that will attempt to store batteries in case an mobile phone needs to be recharged.

Sounds a bit too much of a hassle for a cell phone, unless it’s being out there for an extended length of time, but I’d use it for money and credit cards.

Dogs-Watching-TV Network dedicated to keeping dogs entertained

Dog TV has announced a new network that will be dedicated to keeping your dog entertained while the owners are at work.   Some people may think of this as nonsense, but I’m not one of them.  I happen to love dogs and I think this is a great idea.   The network promises no reruns or commercials.  Jealous much?  Wait, did you know they have the technology to make smell TV?  I kid you not…..read on.

Dog TV has announced a new network that will be dedicated to keeping your dog entertained. Some people may think of this as nonsense, but I’m not one of them.  I happen to love dog and I think this is a great idea.   The network promises no reruns or commercials.  Jealous?  Wait, did you know they have the technology to make smell TV?  I kid you not…..read on.

Filmmakers are calling DogTV a new breed of television – an eight-hour block of on-demand cable TV programming designed to keep your dog relaxed, stimulated and entertained while you are at work.

To get the right footage, cameramen got on their knees and shot low and long. “I shot from the point of view of the dog,” said Gilad Neumann, chief executive officer of DogTV.

In production, they had to mute colors, alter sound and add music specially written for dogs. Dogs can see blue and yellow, but not red or green, Neumann said, so colors are altered for DogTV too. What you won’t find on DogTV are the sounds that blare on regular TV: no gunshots, no explosions, no heavy metal music.

There will be no commercials, no ratings and no reruns, although some might argue that watching a slug crawl is hardly exciting new programming.

One million subscribers with two cable companies have access to DogTV in San Diego. It is doing so well that parent company PTV Media plans to offer it nationally in the next several months, Neumann said.

It will cost about $4.99 a month, Neumann said. If you figure more than 46 million U.S. households have dogs (according to the American Pet Products Association) and 97 percent of U.S. homes have televisions, the future looks promising.

Bleu, a year-old French bulldog, has been watching for a month and snorts and grunts his approval, owner Mary Catania of San Diego said. He used to perk up when “Family Guy” came on, Catania said, but he seems more intrigued by DogTV.

“I always feel guilty leaving him alone all day when I’m at work,” Catania said. “He’s like my kid. I don’t have any children so I really treat him like my child. Anything that makes him happy makes me happy.”

Do dogs really understand what they’re watching? Dodman said research is ongoing, but it appears that dogs not only recognize other dogs on TV, they may even respond differently to their own breed.

They definitely recognize sounds, though, whether it’s barking or sirens, and audio on DogTV has been tailored accordingly. Because high frequency sounds can be very irritating to dogs, they’ve been removed. And music is written and tailored for their hearing, though it sounds like elevator music to humans.

Exposure is designed to acquaint dogs with things they will see each day. “There are studies that show when young puppies are exposed to video images of other dogs, it acts as a form of socialization,” Dodman said. Sights and sounds during this part of the programming expose the animals to things like traffic, babies, other pets and doorbells.

Relaxation segments feature sleeping dogs and nature scenes – like the slugs – accompanied by dog lullabies.

Stimulation includes dogs running, playing and surfing, animation and a lot of panting. The idea behind this part of DogTV is to get a dog moving, even if it is home alone.

Shows are “refreshed” daily for variety.

Pets may one day be able to sniff DogTV, Dodman said. “The technology is here to add smell. There are boxes you can buy that have 60 different wells that you can fill with scents. Like fireworks, you can cue them with what’s on television.”

Too bad they can’t control the remote.

Techie Whispers: iPhone 5 Prototype

apple-logo1

Italian designer Federico Ciccarese came up with this new prototype or concept for the iPhone 5.  Ciccarese’s vision of the iPhone 5 predicts a slightly curved back. The body of the phone, in fact, looks similar to Apple’s Magic Mouse. The display is flat and “retina” in nature and the phone tapers off at the top and bottom.

The headphone jack has moved to the side to accommodate the new design and the back looks to be blasted aluminum, similar to what is used on the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac.

This isn’t the first time Ciccarese has mocked up his own version of future Apple products. In addition to previously trying to design the fifth-generation iPhone (what would become the iPhone 4S), Ciccarese has also taken on concepts such as the iScreen, his vision of the rumored integrated television from Apple.

We love the way the mockup details the glowing Apple on the back of the phone. It’s the sort of design touch that we think Jony Ive and company could even appreciate.

Welp, you like?

With Siri and this newly emerging technology,  this stuff is scaring the ish out of me.  Personally, I’m afraid of being so dependent on all this technology.  What if there is a glitch and the internet goes down for a few days?  No credit cards, no ATM, and probably no banks.  Be clear, I love all the simplicity technology is giving us, but this ish is getting creepy and scary all the same.  Mainly the internet.  The internet nearly controls my entire  life and I hate how dependent I am of it, but I digress.

A new company has emerged with an eye catching new device. *corny pun intended*  A Swedish company has developed the Tobi Gaze.  It enable it’s users to control their computer with their eyes.

A Swedish company has come up with an eye control computer technology, that allows users to operate Windows 8 by looking in the direction they want to click.

The Tobii Gaze sits below a laptop screen and tracks eye movement using a sensor, Courier Mail reported.

Tobii business development manager Anders Olsson asserted that the interface uses a combination of eye gaze and touch pad for a better user laptop experience.

“Gaze takes away the whole intermediate step of having a mouse or even using touch technology,” Olsson told All Things Digital, the online publication that specializes in technology and start-up company news, analysis and coverage.

“It uses all seven primary touch commands of Windows 8 (eg., activate, select, zoom, scroll, etc) in a way that is more natural, efficient and precise than any other control when used on laptops and desktops,” Olsson added.

SMH,  I haven’t gotten over the glitches with Windows 7 yet.  I just bought Windows 7 last year and it still gives me headaches and they’re already talking about Windows 8????  I just can’t get ahead of this stuff…there I go digressing again.

Any who, see what I mean?  Now we have stuff that controls stuff with eye movement.  Seems too close to telepathy. (I laughed out loud when I found that pic)   I’m telling you this stuff is getting scary.  Don’t let my cynicism stop you from getting down with this.  Do you.  BTW, what do you think?

I thought the gloves were a cool idea to pass along.  I don’t think you have to be too crafty to take this on.  I think someone will make a line of these really soon…..if they haven’t already.  They certainly are a must this time of the year.

The signs of the times are upon us.  Now experts believe that consumer purchases will go completely paperless.   Personally, I don’t think people are going to go for it.  If they do, they’re going to say, give me a receipt now and also email me one.  Not only that older people are set in their ways and wont want to be bothered with it.  Additionally, a lot of them aren’t computer literate.  Nonetheless, experts predict otherwise.

Apple is currently using a similar system.  A lot of people think of Apple as the second coming, so they may have a strong following. Here’s how it will go down: The shopper will have their purchase confirmations emailed to them instead of printed.  They aim to push it as as an environmentally sound.  There was a lot of fuss about medical charting going paperless as well, but it went over without a hitch.  Supporters believe that some countries will cut paper receipts by 60-70% within 5 years.
