"Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations" Costume Institute Gala

It looks like just because the MET Ball is held at the Costume Institute that some people feel they can get all willy nilly with their attire.  Somebody must have told them wrong.   Nonetheless, most of the arrivals took the gala seriously and dressed to impress. Overall, I thought Kanye represented the fellas properly; as he looked especially dapper.  For the ladies, I have to give it to Solange; she looked especially elegant for the evening. Who didn’t fair so well you ask?  MIA looked especially frumpy; I would have preferred she stayed at home with the nonsense.  Well, you asked.

Have fun sifting through these and let me know which ones kick rocks, which ones rock and which ones you just want to throw rocks at.  Y’all don’t want me to get started.  Let the rock throwing begin.

Leather details are a huge trend for the 2011/12 Fall Winter season.  Check out these statement coats with leather details, leather sleeves or pockets from the HUGO BOSS Black and Boss Orange Collections.  I’d rock some of these pieces.  Would you rock any?

Beyonce' in Emilio Pucci *Throw Rocks* sorry stans. Hate the fishtail look and it's too tight. Jay looks wonderful.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute (MET) Ball is one of the most style-oriented events of the year, with Hollywood’s most popular celebs “rocking” custom couture creations from the most influential and unique fashion designers.

With that said, I could not get into the costume part of this event.  How can I seriously say I’d rock these costume garments?   Nonetheless, you know those fashions that were costume vs the ones that were suppose to be taken seriously. That’s essentially how I rocked this.

The theme of this year’s bash was “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.” The event celebrates his legacy. A lot of the looks were inspired by his Scottish heritage.  I loved how dedicated so many people are to him.  Stella McCartney’s fashions were all over the place too.

Some of these fashions were just okay, but I still didn’t throw rocks at them.

IMO,  best overall -

Ladies: Keri Hilson, Gisele Bundgend and Jennifer Lopez.

Fellas: Tom Brady, Carmelo Anthony and Jay Z.

Worst overall was the fury/feathery chick, Naomi Campbell, Anna Del Russo and Christina Ricci

This bash was huge.  I believe I got everyone and then some.

Kanye in Tori Burch *Rocks* Wait they're making skinny slacks too?

Janelle Monae the look rocks, but not tonight. Gonna have to *Throw Rocks*. Inappropriate

Sorry stans, I’m gonna have to say Nae Nae rocked it.  She has a more relaxed and unrehearsed pose.
