The activist in the making aka Solange Knowles took time out of her schedule to hang out with us mortals to protest the travesty that is the Zimmerman verdict. The verdict cleared him, but leaves many of us wondering about the future of our young men.
Dress in simply jean shorts and t-shirt and Solange carried a Malcom X’ quote saying, “I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for Justice no matter who it is for or against.”
After the gathering she tweeted, “Thank you to everyone who came out to support #Bklyn4trayvon rally! This was just a start to a long journey of Justice and Equality!” Along with the following pic:

Solo’s big sis Beyonce also acknowledged the verdict by having a moment of silence at her concert Saturday evening and about an hour after the verdict was read.
