Brandy, graces the cover of Today’s Black Woman. The June /July issue features the multi-faceted Brandy showing off some of her many gorgeous looks.

Consider me completely shook, taken aback and dumbfounded by this recent revelation.  In this audio recording of a recent interview with NYC’s, HOT 97′s, Angie Martinez, Monica admits to laying hands on Brandy backstage before a performance of “The Boy is Mine.” This all went down backstage at the MVA’s. Before it was all just a rumor, but now it has been confirmed by the now grown woman herself.  She blames it all on her immature age of 16 and Brandy can be heard completely embarrassed by the reveal. Funny….I’m so glad they’ve resolved their issues, whatever they were.

Brandy along with Hosea, Pooch,and Coby appeared on the Wendy Williams show to promote the new season of The Game. During the interview she tells Wendy that she is finally in love. With whom you ask? Well, you may recall Brandy tweeting a pic of her and a mystery fellow on New Years Eve (pictured above). He is music publisher, Ryan Press.  Black love is  beautiful thing.

When asked about her feud with Kim Kardashian, she states that rumors to ban Kim on the set of The Marriage Counselor were untrue. She reveals that she actually really misses her friendship with Kim. She says,“I miss my friendship with Kim. I really do, and I can’t wait to see her at the premiere and try to say something to her.”  She tells Kim directly, “Kim I love you, I’m here whenever you need me, keep your chin up.”

That was so frickin’ classy and so nice!!! It’s nice to see people like that.  I hope didn’t print that lie about Brandy and Kim, I only want to post facts.

If this isn’t staying power, then I don’t know what is.  The Drop Dead Diva costar will be releasing her sixth LP via RCA Music Group.  Brandy will be working with producer Breyon Prescott.  Chief executive of RCA Music, Peter Edge said in a statement:

 ”Throughout her career,  Brandy has consistently won the vote as everyone’s favorite female vocalist. “I am sure that in her next chapter at RCA and in partnership with Breyon Prescott, we will record her most exciting music to date.”

Brandy added, “This is truly a blessing. Breyon Prescott, Peter Edge and Tom Corson  believe in me and have introduced me to a home that also believes and knows exactly what to do with the type of music I’m doing.  Breyon and the team at RCA/Chameleon are creative and forward-thinking and I am thrilled to be working with them.”

Okay BranNu………..let’s see what ya working with this time around.

Hey whatever happened with her and Terrance J?  Anyways………………….

Brandy has joined the cast of Drop Dead Diva.  The singer will appear in the final three episodes of the new season, TV Guide reports.  Brandy is expected to play a nurse called Elisa who has a romantic history with J. Parker (Josh Stamberg). She comes to Parker for help when her late father’s life insurance provider refuses to give her any money.

“Drop Dead Diva is on my favorites list,” Brandy said. “And I am so thrilled that I get to be on it for at least three episodes. And such a juicy role!”  Meanwhile, the show’s producer Josh Berman revealed that Elisa has “a big secret that no-one will see coming”.

Brandy added: “I’m excited to play a woman with a secret that could have such a huge impact on other characters.” Brandy is the latest star to sign up for a role in Drop Dead Diva. Personalities who have already agreed to appear in the new season include Quinton Aaron, Patti Stanger, Kathy Griffin, Clay Aiken, Lance Bass, Wanda Sykes, Tony Goldwyn and LeAnn Rimes.

Drop Dead Diva returns with new episodes on Sunday at 9/8c on Lifetime.

 

Brandy @ Christmas Eve At The Los Angeles Mission

Singer BRANDY is devastated following the death of a young girl who she helped to receive a heart transplant.

The R&B star launched a money-raising campaign to fund a life-saving operation for 17-year-old Jessica Harris, who hailed from Brandy’s hometown of McComb, Mississippi and suffered hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

The singer even flew Harris out to California for a birthday party in October (10) to lift her spirits ahead of her February (11) transplant.

But the story has ended in tragedy following the teenager’s death in a New York hospital on Thursday (02Jun11), and Brandy has released a statement to express her grief.

The statement from Brandy and her family, obtained by Reuters, reads, “Jessica was and will always be an inspiration to our family. In the face of her illness, her courageous spirit and positive outlook gave us memories we will cherish for a lifetime. We were touched by the outpouring of generosity from the public when we set up a fund on her behalf to help cover her medical and travel expenses.”

 

Sad……  My condolences go out to her family and friends.

Brandy, Ray J and their mother Sonya are alleged victims of extortion and they are not taking it lying down. The alleged extortioner is also suing Brandy.  RadarOnline breaks down the lawsuit that was filed in LA as follows:



Singer Brandy has filed a lawsuit against an internationally-known house music artist and his “cronies” alleging she and her family are the victim of a multi-million dollar shakedown, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Marc Mysterio and his management are already suing the Grammy Award-winning artist, claiming breach of contract and failure to perform.

However, in a bristling countersuit filed Monday and obtained by RadarOnline.com, 32-year-old Brandy insisted she never agreed to perform with Mysterio.

“After a brief discussion about a potential joint recording project, Ms Norwood claims that she informed the Cross-Defendants that she did not wish to provide voice over services to them,” she claims in the lawsuit, which was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

“Cross-Defendants then filed a complaint alleging amongst other things breach of contract, even though the parties did not come to completing a contract, written, oral or implied.

“Not only did Cross-Defendants name Brandy as a Defendant, but maliciously and without justification named her mother and her brother’s recording label as well.

“Brandy claims that Cross-Defendants named her family simply to try and force her to pay their demands.”

In the filing, the songstress said Mysterio misused the media – and Brandy even cited RadarOnline.com as one outlet – in which the musician attacked her “integrity and honesty.”

“Brandy claims the Cross-Defendants have taken every opportunity to disparage her name, having made countless statements to media outlets impugning Brandy’s character and honesty with false remarks,” the suit claims.

“The shakedown tactics and misuse of the media and the legal process are unconscionable.

“Marc Mysterio and his cronies should be made to pay — not profit from — these unlawful and inappropriate acts.”

Brandy has not told the court what financial damages she is seeking.
