Suited Up: Cavaliers Newest Rookies, Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson
The newest members of the Cleveland Cavaliers are already out and about in the Cleveland community! Draft picks Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson made their inaugural appearance alongside Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant, Cavs players Christian Eyenga and Samardo Samuels, Head Coach Byron Scott and the Cavaliers assistant coaching staff as they unveiled the newly-restored basketball court for the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation Shaker Campus.
“We are excited to have yet another opportunity to work with our partners at the Cleveland Clinic to enhance the Children’s Hospital with a new basketball court,” said Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant. “This event also provides a great opportunity to show our new Cavaliers how important community involvement and outreach is to our organization.”
After a brief press conference and ceremonial ribbon cutting, the children and team finally were able to take to the court and shoot some hoops! Completely renovated, the court now has Happy Landings® poured-in-place rubber surfacing and is painted in Cavaliers wine and gold, with two brand new backboards to add the finishing touch. The Cavs Caravan also stopped by the Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation with inflatables and games for the children and their families.
“We are tremendously grateful to the Cavs for revitalizing a significant part of our outdoor facilities,” said Aletta Sinoff, director, Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism. “The new basketball court gives our students a great opportunity to participate in quality outdoor activities that are essential to their advancement and education. It will surely contribute greatly to the environment of the Shaker campus and create many fun experiences for our students.”
The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation is one of the few leading accredited, freestanding pediatric rehabilitation hospitals in the country. In this setting, infants, children and adolescents with complex chronic illnesses, disabilities and congenital conditions ranging from cerebral palsy to pain-associated disability syndrome, stroke and spinal cord injuries, receive compassionate care from nationally and internationally renowned pediatricians and pediatric sub-specialists. Services include an inpatient program; an outpatient rehabilitation program for children recovering from a trauma, surgery or acute hospital stay; and therapy services for children with chronic medical conditions and disabilities.

Ex NBA Player Robert “Tractor” Traylor Dies at 34
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Former NBA and University of Michigan player Robert “Tractor” Traylor has died. He was 34.
Police in San Juan, Puerto Rico, said in a statement he was found dead Wednesday on the bedroom floor of his oceanfront apartment. Police and Traylor’s team, the Bayamon Cowboys, said he had been missing for a few days and apparently died from a heart attack.
The Cowboys said Traylor was injured and had not been playing. They suspended their game Wednesday night because of his death.
The 6-foot-8, 300-pound Traylor was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks with the sixth pick in 1998, but played for the Milwaukee Bucks his first two seasons. He spent seven years in the NBA, also playing for Cleveland, Charlotte and New Orleans.
Traylor, who got his nickname because of his size, had surgery on his aorta in 2005, the Bayamon Cowboys said.
Team manager Jose Carlos Perez told The Associated Press that Traylor had been talking by phone to his wife in Chicago on Wednesday when the connection was suddenly cut off. She called team officials and they checked on him, Perez said.
“He was a leader of the team,” he said. “He was very, very friendly. He got along very well with everyone. The fans loved him, idolized him.”
Traylor had been playing with a team in Veracruz, Mexico, before he moved to Puerto Rico in mid-March, Perez said.
“His game was one of a lot of strength, a lot of defense,” he said.
Tom Crean, a former assistant at Michigan, echoed those sentiments in post on Twitter.
“At Michigan State we battled against him and he might have been the most time-consuming and mind-challenging matchup we ever faced and we as coaches weren’t even playing. He had great feet and hands and a very soft touch…You really had to have a plan to stop him.”
In 2009, Traylor was sentenced to jail after violating conditions of supervised release related to an income tax case in which he acknowledged preparing a false tax return that hid assets of a convicted drug dealer.
A judge had delayed the sentence so Traylor could play for an Italian team.
Perez said Traylor’s survivors include his wife and two sons.

Tweet Whispers: Video – LeBron Says, “It Wasn’t Even a Comment From Me”
LeBron gave a little sidebar interview where he was questioned about the tweet he sent out. He kept his head down the whole time.
Like I said HERE I really can’t see him saying something like to men who he called his brothers and a large amount of them are out hurt. At least I hope he wouldn’t wish mess like that on them. He’s generally maintained a gentleman like attitude over the who thing “publicly.” We’ve never heard him get disrespectful to anybody. I did think he may have been going after Dan. You believe him?
After the Cleveland Cavaliers were humiliated by the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, LeBron James tweeted about karma and said that “God sees everything!” Before the Heat lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, James denied that the tweet was directed at the Cavs and said the comment didn’t come from him.
“It was just how I was feeling at the time,” James said. “It wasn’t even a comment from me, it was someone who sent it to me and I sent it out.” James added that the tweet “wasn’t towards that team” and it “wasn’t no hit at that franchise, no hit at that team.”
He went on to say that he has moved on and he hopes the Cleveland organization is moving on as well.
Thoughts?
Tweet Whispers: LeBron Sends Out Subiminal Tweet and Praises Coach Mike Brown
Well, Lakers blew out the Cavs, but in their defense they were missing several key players. The Cavs were without starting center Anderson Varejao, who tore his right ankle in a routine conditioning drill. Also missing were Joey Graham (right quad strain), Daniel Gibson (left ankle sprain), Leon Powe (right torn meniscus) and Anthony Parker (lower back strain). Now I’m not saying they would have won, but it definitely would not have went down as bad as it did and you know it. The loss was a sad 112-57.
Update*******
Varejao is out for the rest of the season. Yup, we are definitely in trouble.
BTW, LeBron tweeted the following during the game. He wasn’t specific about who it was directed to, but I think we can figure it out. He could have directed it at Dan Gilbert. I would hope he didn’t feel this way about his previous teammates whom he use to call his brothers, but you never know right?
He also tweeted well wished to Mike Brown the Cav’s former coach. I think he was fired because they thought that’s what LeBron wanted in order for him to stay………….totally my opinion. I just don’t think they had any other grounds to fire him. Mike Brown gave the Cavs the best record they’ve had in many years.
This post was suppose to be a court side post, but there wasn’t enough pictures online. I may find some later.
Video: Anderson Verejao “Wild Thang” is Passionate About the Game
This is the type of stuff you like to see every once and awhile. The man has heart, he’s intense and focused. No matter what, you can’t say his heart isn’t it. You gotta love him. Cleveland’s own “Wild Thang!!!” If nothing else you gotta love his hair. His hair is the bizness.
Go Cavs!!!
Off topic: BTW, sorry for the slow posts. I am starting a business up and it has been quite busy for me these days. I should be back for more updates at around 5:00pm EST. I told you guy I wear many hats.
Fans Release a Chant Schedule for Heat vs Cavaliers Game
LMAO…….. it’s written in the infamous comic sans. As previously posted HERE the Cavalier organization is trying to encourage a respectful game upon LeBron’s return. The fans have thought of alternative methods of showing LeBron how they feel about him. I expected nothing less….Cleveland fans are known to be ruthless and I hope they don’t get out of hand. Imagine being surrounded by a whole arena of people that are mad at you. No pissed off at you. That has got to be weighing in on him. Be cool Cleveland…………This looking like a scorned lover is not a good look.
Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, said that he doesn’t expect there to be any trouble at Thursday night’s game. Yeah right Dan (wink). He been around Cleveland fans long enough to know better. Even Obama was quoted saying that LeBron’s return to the Q confrontation will be “brutal”.
Sorta off topic: You have to admit that he hasn’t seemed as happy as he was in Cleveland. He just doesn’t

Cavaliers Still Investigating Miami Heat for Tampering
There’s no doubt in my mind that these guys had been planning it. They let that slip on more than one occasion, but is there proof that the league was involved? The potential for the Heat to lose draft picks because of this could be detrimental with the way things are going right now, so they better hope their ish is odorless. Here are the details as they were presented:
CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into a high-powered Midwestern law firm to investigate their suspicions that the Miami Heat broke NBA tampering rules while pursuing LeBron James(notes), and owner Dan Gilbert has privately vowed he won’t relent until he has a thick binder of findings to drop on the desk of the NBA commissioner, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Gilbert has spent several hundred thousand dollars on the investigation and will spare no expense to uncover whatever evidence he can to take to the league office, two sources with direct knowledge of the probe told Yahoo! Sports. The law firm staff includes several former prosecutors with backgrounds in investigating and constructing cases, sources said.
Prior to the start of free agency on July 1, no Miami Heat representative – including star Dwyane Wade(notes) – was allowed to discuss with James the specific circumstances around Wade, Toronto’s Chris Bosh(notes) and James joining together with the Heat.
One focus of the law firm’s probe includes an alleged Riley-James meeting in Miami in November 2009, and a meeting of James’ inner circle with Wade in Chicago in June 2010, sources said.
Riley, James, Wade and Bosh have denied there was a predetermined collusion in the historic free-agent binge, although the players have admitted to discussing the possibility of playing together as far back as the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
When approached about the story on Tuesday night at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena, Gilbert declined to answer questions from Yahoo! Sports.
As one league source told Yahoo! Sports: The Cavs are “determined to get everything out there. They’re not letting go of this. They’re not going to just let this die.”
Potential penalties for tampering could include front-office suspensions, fines and losses of draft picks. Many teams are suspicious of the league office’s desire to investigate these kind of cases because of the potential embarrassment to the league.
This revelation makes for one more dramatic storyline to James’ return to Cleveland on tomorrow night. Gilbert escalated Cleveland’s fervor over losing James when he issued a scathing email about James on the night of the two-time MVP’s television decision. For that diatribe, Stern fined Gilbert $100,000.
