Kevin Hart has been added to the main stage lineup for the 2012 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.  Organizers say Hart, hot on the heels of his starring role in last weekend’s No. 1 film, “Think Like a Man,” will debut his comedic talents during the festival scheduled for July 6-8 at the Superdome. Hart joins a lineup that includes Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Charlie Wilson, Ledisi, Fantasia, and Eve.

The festival drew more than 422,000 attendees last year.  Essence Fest began as a one-time event celebrating the 25th anniversary of Essence magazine. The festival is organized by Essence Communications Inc., a media company with a presence in publishing, live events and online services.

Alright alright alright……..Kevin is a funny guy.  I can see him being highly sought after for a lot more big screen films with him as the star.  He is definitely that guy.  Will you be there?

Comedian Kevin Hart’s ex-wife Torrei, attempted to assault his attorney Debra Opri, during a hearing for their divorce proceedings in Los Angeles today. As reported last year, Kevin and his wife Torrei were going through a divorce.  Torrei tried her hand in comedy where she took shots of Kevin on stage during her standup routine. Anyhoo, the divorce is actually final, but they had a couple of legalities to wrap up.  Torrei was orderd to pay part of Kevin’s legal fees; this appalled Ms. Thing, so she tried to go after Kevin’s attorney.

The divorce was recently finalized and they were in court for post divorce matters, and yesterday, the judge sanctioned Torrei, causing her to become irate and combative. “At the conclusion of the hearing in which the judge ordered Torrei to pay Debra Opri’s legal fees for a filing motion Torrei was absolutely livid that she had been ordered to pay a portion of Kevin’s legal fees, and she lunged at Debra Opri, who was in the hallway at this point. Several sheriff’s deputies had to restrain Torrei and separated the two. Torrei said that Opri was a ‘b*tch,’ and Opri was shaken up after the incident. Torrei wasn’t arrested,” an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Kevin’s powerhouse attorney brokered the divorce which gives him joint custody of the former couple’s two children, and our sources tell us he is a devoted dad. “Kevin pays Torrei child support and just wishes that Torrei would get over the bitter feelings she has towards him for the sake of the children,” the insider tells us.

Calls seeking comment to Debra Opri weren’t immediately returned.

There was no mention of Kevin being in the building.  She would have yanked his lil butt up.  Look at her arms….make sure you check out the link to the video of her standup.

As part of All Star Weekend, the NBA held it’s celebrity game Friday (February 24). The game was never short on laughs especially with Kevin Hart’s tinxy winxy azz on the court.  Kevin Hart nabbed the MVP trophy with 8 points and 6 assists. The East beat the West 86-54. Check out the alley-oop pass to J. Cole who slammed down the dunk. If you blink rewind it.

Kevin Hart, Jermaine Dupri, Nelly and Bobby Brown are The Real Husbands of Hollywood. Tami Roman makes a cameo appearance as Kevin’s ride or die chick. I could watch this every week. I loved it. This was what they were doing when JD put that LTL video up. I posted it here.
