New Music Whispers: Usher – ‘Good Kisser’ Groove it or Lose it?

Usher Good kisser

And it goes a little something like this:

I’m a good kisser and you’re a fast learner
And that kinda thing could float us for a pretty long time
Then one day you’d realize you’ve memorized my phone number
And you’ll call it and find it’s a disconnected line

‘Cause I got tossed out the window of love’s El Camino
And I shattered into a shower of sparks on the curb
You were smoking me weren’t you? Between your yellow fingers
You just inhaled and exhaled without saying a word

 Good Kisser

Usher has teased new track Good Kisser for about a week now.  Today Good Kisser makes it’s full debut to Vevo.  The sound is different and  it grabs you immediately.  Yes, this is one of those songs that grabs me on the first listen.  There are no official visuals as of yet, but the teased snippets have a few dance moves here and there. So after you give it a listen, tell me Whisperers, will you groove it or lose it?

New Music Whispers: Prince – ‘Breakdown’

Posted April 19, 2014 8:57 PM By Deirdre B Pride

The Breakdown is a ballad that was first heard when DJ Rashida played it prior to Prince’s DJ set on 19 January, 2013, Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant, Minneapolis, MN, USA.

The song tells the story of the aftereffects of a break-up, with Prince singing in falsetto over mostly keyboard music.
After being played live throughout 2013 and Prince announcing it as his favorite current song on his Arsenio Hall Show appearance in March 2014, the song was unexpectedly released a few minutes before midnight, on 18 April, 2014 several hours after the announcement of a new deal with Warner Bros. Records. The download page on iTunes reads:

“The copyright in this sound recording is owned by NPG Records under exclusive license to Warner Bros. Records, Inc.”

It is unknown if this song is also planned for inclusion on an album or any other project.

While specific recording dates are not known, initial tracking is believed to have taken place in late 2012 at Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, MN, USA.

Prince is expected to release an album of new material as part of his surprising new deal with Warner Bros.

“I’m very excited to be a part of such a powerful collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams and Hans Zimmer.  This is the next chapter in the ‘Spider-Man’ legacy and we really feel ‘It’s On Again’ captures the experience, the story – and most importantly – the meaning behind the film, which is that we all have the potential to be extraordinary.  There’s a little bit of superhero in all of us.”
